Los Angeles, California – App Popular, LLC recently added a new US Promo Codes Stream section inside version 1.2 of App Popular, a free iPhone and iPod touch application available exclusively from the Apple iTunes App Store. This new feature lets users access a “stream” of promotional codes coming in from developers offering free access to use their paid iPhone applications.

“We are pleased to announce that in the first month we were able to give away 3,406 paid iPhone and iPod touch applications totaling US $5,731.94 to our members,” says John R. Haigh, co-founder. “We are extremely grateful to all developers who contributed.”

To participate in this daily giveaway users must have an iTunes account based in the United States and codes are offered on a first come, first serve basis. Only one code per device is allowed per day. From within the Promo Codes Stream, users simply choose an app with codes remaining, select “Grab Code”, and enter and verify their email address. Users will receive their unique code with redemption instructions via a second email. For convenient real-time notification, updates are posted to Twitter (@AppPopular) every time new promo codes are added.

Developers interested in submitting promo codes of their paid iPhone apps may do so using the iPhone Developer Promo Codes Submission Form. In exchange their app will receive a free week’s promotion in the App Popular Promo Codes Stream visible to the tens of thousands of App Popular users.

Created by Haigh and developer Nikita Logachev, App Popular lets users view 77 different App Stores in any top 100 country and category combination; track an unlimited number of apps for price changes and world ranking updates which helps users save money on the apps they want and keep abreast of any app’s popularity. Additionally, users may create and share app lists, tag apps, see which app searches are popular, view top picks by other users, and browse the “What’s Hot App Stream”. App Popular includes a new hybrid app search engine complimenting normal App Store search results and search queries may be further refined with a convenient flip screen price filter.
