Hey, wow, thanks for this great review! I'll pass it onto the developers who will certainly appreciate it.
In case folks are wondering, the pending tab is for queuing up time entries when you are disconnected from the Internet. That's particularly useful for iPod Touches and Canadians like me who seem to be always disconnected from the Internet.
In this case, since you were always connected, there was nothing in the queue. Therefore, the Update Log button was disabled.
