Reading, United Kingdom – Velvet Rock Apps today is pleased to introduce JotDot 1.0 for Mac OS X, their notes application with seamless saving. JotDot allows users to jot down ideas or copy and paste text for future reference and offers a powerful real-time search function. The application sits in the menubar and is immediately available via a keyboard shortcut or click of the mouse button or trackpad.

By pressing the Option key + S key or clicking the red dot in the menubar, a new note window appears allowing users to add a note. Clicking the close window button automatically saves the note for future reference. The red dot in the menubar allows users to choose from a number of options including, ‘New Note’, ‘All Notes’, ‘Preferences’ and ‘Help’. Choosing the ‘All Notes’ option brings up a window that shows all previously saved notes in list format. Double tapping on any one of the notes will allow users to see the note in full or edit as required.

There are many note applications available for OS X, but it is the concept and execution that makes JotDot a standout, along with its pleasing design. The ease of use and attention to detail is clear to see, JotDot makes it incredibly easy to quickly type or paste text and continue with your current workflow. JotDot also offers automatic spelling correction, the user has the option to turn this function on or off in ‘Preferences’. Notes are saved automatically and seamlessly, whenever the ‘New Note’ window or ‘All Notes’ window is closed everything is updated to reflect changes without any need for user input. The powerful real-time search function allows users to search all of their notes, by typing text into the search box the user can instantly see as their notes are narrowed down to only those that have the correct match.

JotDot 1.0 is a simple but incredibly useful note application and doesn’t interfere with other apps. JotDot also has a very small footprint so won’t take up precious space on users HDDs and only uses a tiny amount of memory.
