0 Comment Los Angeles, California – A talented innovator with a product that combines a handy money and credit card wallet with a sturdy iPhone 4 case is looking for support from technology fans on Kickstarter. With only a week to go, entrepreneur Eddie Hsieh is halfway there to make his product dream a reality.
“I am really close to my goal of bringing this very innovative and functional product to market,” he said. “I just need the support of the iPhone 4 community to chip in a few dollars each to make this a reality.”
The Casellet combines a sturdy iPhone 4 protective shell with an innovative aluminum wallet on the back perfect for carrying identification, credit cards or even cash. The new product makes it easy to conveniently carry important items without the need for an extra wallet or purse.
“We have been testing the product with iPhone 4 users in the Los Angeles area and have received some valuable feedback which led to additional product enhancements,” Hsieh said. “Additionally, we have received some great reviews from industry blogs that will make the product an ultimate success if we can get the funding to bring it to market.”
Hsieh came up with the idea for the product after making a wallet out of cardboard that he would Velcro to his phone in order to carry around his driver’s license and credit cards.
“I tried card carrying cases and all of the leather cases and really didn’t find anything that really suited my needs,” he said. “That’s why I decided to try to come up with another case that would really simplify my life.”
Lacking a background in product design, he partnered with Ryan Robinson and Dan Martinez to make the necessary CAD designs to create the prototype. Armed with the demo, Hsieh then turned to Kickstarter to bring the product to fruition.
“We plan to enter the production phase at the end of this month and bring the product to market early next year pending the funding from our supporters on Kickstarter,” he said. “But we are down to the wire and really need everyone’s support to make this a reality. Every little donation brings us closer to the goal and if you chip in as little as $40, we will ship you one of the first Casellets right off the production line that will be retailing for $60.”
Chip in $45 and the donor will receive an extra special Casellet made out of wood. A truly collector’s version of the soon to be hot iPhone 4 product.
