Towle, a US expatriate and lifelong teacher and traveler, moved to Paris in 2004. Frustrated at a lack of exciting travel opportunities for older kids, she began writing history-based itineraries for her then-preteen daughter. The light bulb moment came when she first held an iPhone and realized she’d found the perfect medium to share her travel-savvy ideas with others. Since then, she’s been writing, researching and building her virtual travel guide business.

Now, her first Time Traveler Tours StoryApp will launch for iPhone and iPod touch.

The tale, narrated by the young murderess Charlotte Corday in the moments before she is to have her head lopped off, takes you on a dramatic app journey and historical treasure hunt into the sights and sounds of Paris at the time of the Revolution. Corday explains how and why she stabbed radical propagandist Jean-Paul Marat while leading you around central Paris, from the Palais Royal on the Right Bank to La Conciergerie on the Ile de la Cite.
